Last night there was another mass shooting by a terrorist white supremacist in New Zealand that left 49 people killed and and many other wounded. Its heartbreaking to constantly see what our Muslim brothers and sisters go through in this world and how a place of worship can not even be considered a safe space. Its upsetting to see Muslims demonized and dehumanized to fit this narrative for white supremacy (white, christian, male, cis- heterosexual). My heart goes out to the victims and their families, and all our Muslim brothers and sisters who might feel even less safe, now that something like this has occurred. I wonder what it will take to dismantle white supremacy not only in this country, but in the world. Its clear that those who benefit from it will not stand in its way so we have to be careful of who we view as allies. Its scary how these mass shootings are normalized, and it seems nothing is being done to prevent them. I don’t know the answers but I hope something changes. and FUCK all these xenophobes and racists putting the batteries in these murderers backs. Theres blood on their hands too, though I’m not sure they even care.
